Composed by Piero Piccioni in 1972, the original soundtrack to “Seven Murders for Scotland Yard,” directed by José Luis Madrid, is finally available for the first time on vinyl via SUB OST.

Here we find Piero Piccioni in rare groove mode, blending acid jazz breaks and deep funk in what marks the first vinyl reissue of one of his lesser-known classics. The variety of themes is impressive, with the Hammond organ often taking center stage. The atmosphere strongly recalls the maestro’s late-1960s compositions—memorable sessions that would later lead to the posthumous release of the classic “Camille 2000.”

The brass arrangements are equally captivating, channeling a distinctly Mediterranean warmth through the stylistic framework of American R&B.
