Formed in 2004 in Pescara, Italy, Zippo is a critically acclaimed Heavy Psych/Stoner Rock band known for blending sludge metal riffs with psychedelic atmospheres. They are recognized for their intense, experimental sound that evolves with every release, ranging from doom-laden grooves to progressive structures.

Maktub is Zippo’s third studio album and is widely considered a monument of psychedelic post-metal and progressive stoner rock. The title, an Arabic word meaning "it is written," reflects the album's mystical and conceptual depth.
